Begs to relinquish his role as agent. Encloses his correspondent’s account with the Rector of F[ ]bough (not included).

Letter from Fr Joseph Tristram SJ, writing from Stonyhurst College, to [ ] in Clongowes. Refers to Fr Weston, and gives permission for him to visit his friends. Announces that he intends to come to Ireland with some pupils, who are to go to Dublin, and states that they are to travel ‘by the Waterloo steam packet’. Also refers to the death of the English Fr Provincial Charles Plowden SJ, and to Fr Scott’s report on how it happened. Reports that Fr Plowden’s body ‘lies in the middle of the church yard at Jougné’. Fr Tristram declares himself to be ‘well satisfied’ with Fr Carr, who, he believes, will ‘prove a worthy son of the Society’.

Includes a letter from Maxwell, Weldon and Company Solicitors, 40 North Great George's Street, Dublin to Fr Thomas Wheeler SJ, The Presbytery, Upper Gardiner Street, Dublin concerning the deeds '..for the purpose of enabling us to report on the title of you community to the premises, 35 Hardwicke Street' (5 March 1912, 1p). In 1814, a Jesuit community took over the vacant Poor Clare convent in Hardwicke Street, Dublin. St Francis College was established at Hardwicke Street in 1832 however it proved to be too small for this emerging school. New premises were needed and Belvedere House, Great Denmark Street was bought in 1841.

Account book of Irish Jesuit property. Includes a description of the finances of the Irish Mission account, written by Fr John Fullam SJ. Remarks 'In 1760 this mission had in Paris a capital of £1000 ster. including the deposits of individuals and what belonged to different residences. By the persecution which ensued the whole was nearly despaired of when by Fr Crookshank's activity and cleverness about half that sum was recovered and transmitted to Ireland where Mr Ward placed it as occasions presented.'
